History
The origins of mezcal date back to pre-Hispanic times, from the Oxaca and Guerrero areas, when the ancient indigenous civilizations of Mexico used agave, a plant native to the region, to make fermented drinks, producing them by hand and using mezcal for their special celebrations.
Since then, the production of mezcal has been passed down from generation to generation, becoming an integral part of Mexican culture.
Today, mezcal is recognized as an emblematic drink of Mexico, with a designation of origin.
It's a drink chracterized by its unique flavour, full of tradition and history, a representation of Mexico's rich culture.
